MORGAN & Christian - Bright Hotel Wedding on the Burin Peninsula // NEWFOUNDLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY


Some weddings are just a joy to photograph from beginning to end, and Morgan and Christian’s late summer wedding was one of those perfect days. From their ceremony at the charming Collins Cove United Church, with its whimsical stained glass windows, to their joyful reception at the Marystown Hotel, their love shone through every moment.


Morgan was easily one of the most relaxed brides I’ve ever had the joy of photographing. Calm, present, and ready to soak in every second, she trusted the day to unfold exactly as it was meant to, and the universe rewarded her with weather that cheered up at exactly the right moment, a calm atmosphere, and a wedding that truly felt effortless. I also especially love her taste in people. Not only did I photograph her wedding but she hit the Drake girl trifecta by hiring my mom, Wanda, for her late night photobooth, and asking my sister to stand by her side as a proud bridesmaid. Christian was as thoughtful and attentive as ever, always keeping an eye on his bride and making sure she was cared for. His thank you speech later in the evening was one of the most beautiful and sincere I’ve heard. He spoke from the heart to his new wife and their families, reminding everyone that love isn’t just about the big gestures, it’s about everyday devotion. He even thanked his groomsmen after they gave him the most agressive groomsmen cuddle I think i've ever seen. Both Morgan and Christian are so obviously adored by everyone that surrounds them.


When it came time for portraits, nature joined the celebration. A family of otters popped up, curious about all the laughter and love happening nearby. Morgan and Christian instantly took it as a sign, a little blessing from nature, because if one thing is true, it’s that these two are otterly in love. That was literally a quote from Christian, who I learned yesterday dies for a good bad joke. Morgan laughed, because of course.


The celebration continued into the night at the Marystown Hotel, where guests filled the room with laughter, dancing, and cheers for the newlyweds. Between the love shared at the altar, the playful otters, and the heartfelt moments at the reception, Morgan and Christian’s wedding was nothing short of unforgettable.
