hILLARY & TODD - SUNNY JULY WEDDING IN LAWN, NL // NEWFOUNDLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY


As we were driving into Lawn the morning of Hillary and Todd's wedding, Paul and I both said "oh my goddd." The Lawn water and the sky were so blue and the hills were SO green we thought we were in the Caribbean for a minute. If that was the first time you heard the words "Lawn" and "Caribbean" in the same sentence... same. lol!


Hillary and Todd were married on the most beautiful July afternoon, right by the sea, on the property of Todd’s family cabin surrounded by so much love, history, and many friendly faces. The salt air, the ocean breeze, and a seaweed situation in Hillary’s dress (which I gently picked out during portraits—true wedding photographer duties) made it all feel very “by the sea” in the best way.


They were so in tune with each other the entire day. There’s something quiet and powerful about a couple that just knows each other that well. From small glances to calm, collected chaos-handling, you could feel how solid they are.


After the ceremony, they were celebrated oceanside with their son (so sweet!) and then went straight into a reception with the best wedding party they could have asked for. The Lawn community centre (and the parking lot, a.k.a. temporarily Point May lol) was filled with laughter, music, and just plain joy.


It was such a pleasure to capture your day! I’m so lucky to have clients like these even if Todd and Hillary are normally clients of my moms. I really hoped to live up to her reputation, and I can only hope I did. Congratulations to the three of you!
